Our Advisory Board brings together people with a wide range of academic, professional and community experience who share a commitment to strengthening participatory and deliberative decision-making. Its members provide independent advice, constructive challenge and fresh perspectives to help Exeter Community Assembly continue to learn and develop.
The Board supports our long-term strategic direction and helps ensure our work reflects the best available research and practice from the UK and around the world. Members draw on expertise in areas such as participatory and deliberative democracy, community engagement, political science, facilitation, public policy research, complex systems, organisational development, and communications. By combining different forms of knowledge and experience, they help us design high-quality processes that are inclusive, evidence-informed and effective.
As a learning organisation, we value thoughtful reflection alongside productive action, and our Advisory Board plays an important role in helping us evaluate our work, learn from experience, and continually improve.
Current members of our advisory board are:
Dr Alice Moseley, Associate Professor in Public Policy & Administration at the University of Exeter
Dr Raphaëlle Haywood, Senior Lecturer in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Exeter
Lachlan Ayles, Programme Lead at Community Organisers and the Humanity Project
